This page is dedicated to my favorite teachers, who have led and inspired me, and helped me in every way imaginable. This ever-growing list represents the roots of my deepest gratitude. Where underlined, I have linked their names to their websites.
Diana Vitells has been my Alexander Technique teacher since 2006. She has completely changed my life with her teachings, and her influence touches every facet of my daily existence.
Mark Westcottis a concert pianist who has played with many of the best orchestras in the world as soloist. He is now my musical coach, and has reunited me with a passion and love for the musical line. His teachings on phrasing and expression have become my complete modus operandi.
Cat Wilson and Rich Aanrich run the
Apositiva Institute in Portland, and train hypnotherapists and nuero-linguistic programming (NLP) practitioners. With their help, I have become more centered and in control of my focus and concentration, and have garnered numerous skills for changing long-held beliefs and limitations.
Scott Kritzer has put tons of work into his guitar technique method, and I learned much more than just guitar from him in the 3 years I was in his studio. He has also been incredibly generous by referring me for teaching positions and performances.
Brian Wagner was my first real guitar teacher, and turned me on to the whole world of classical guitar. He gave me the foundation that supports everything I now do.
John Pennington, my percussion teacher in college, and recently, duo partner. Through him I learned professionality, ensemble skills, and generally raised my persoanl standards across the board.
