Program Overview
The Transformation Year is a premium 12-month classical guitar coaching program offered by Allen Mathews, Mathews Music Inc.. The program combines systematic curriculum (Woodshed levels 1A-2F) with weekly one-on-one coaching, unlimited video and text feedback, and direct oversight from Allen Mathews.
Eligibility and Enrollment
Self-Selection Criteria
This program is designed for serious adult classical guitarists who:
Are committed to daily practice and systematic skill development
Understand that transformation requires sustained effort over 12 months
Value process mastery over quick repertoire collection
Can dedicate time to weekly coaching sessions and regular communication
Application Process
Enrollment is limited to 8-15 participants per cohort
All applicants must complete the program application
Acceptance is at the sole discretion of Mathews Music Inc.
We reserve the right to decline any application without explanation
Payment Terms
Program Fee
Full payment required before program start date, or if selecting monthly payments, first payment made to enroll.
Payment accepted via credit card or bank transfer
No Refund Policy
All sales are final. There are no refunds, partial refunds, or prorated refunds under any circumstances, including but not limited to:
Change in personal circumstances
Inability to complete the program
Dissatisfaction with coaching or curriculum
Technical difficulties
Medical or family emergencies
Relocation or schedule changes
This policy exists because we are making a significant commitment to you. When you enroll, we assign you a dedicated coach and limit our program to only 8-15 students to ensure personalized attention. We invest substantial time and resources into your transformation from day one. By enrolling, you acknowledge that you understand and accept this no-refund policy.
Program Structure and Delivery
Duration and Schedule
Program runs for 12 consecutive months from your start date
Weekly one-on-one coaching sessions (scheduled mutually with your assigned coach)
Quarterly structure: Q1 (technical foundation), Q2 (reassessment/sound), Q3 (repertoire), Q4 (polishing)
No extensions or makeup time for missed sessions during personal absences
Coaching and Support
Assigned coach familiar with Woodshed curriculum
Weekly 1-on-1 video coaching sessions
Unlimited video feedback submissions
Allen Mathews oversight and periodic direct involvement
Curriculum Access
Access to Woodshed curriculum levels 1A-2F
Additional materials and resources as provided by coaching team
Student Responsibilities
Missed Sessions
You must provide at least 24 hours notice to reschedule coaching sessions
Repeated missed sessions without notice may result in program termination without refund
Sessions missed due to your absence cannot be carried forward beyond the 12-month period
Technical Requirements
You are responsible for:
Maintaining reliable internet connection for video coaching sessions
Providing necessary video recording equipment for feedback submissions
Accessing Google Sheets, and other designated platforms
Resolving personal technical issues that prevent program participation
Mathews Music Inc. is not responsible for losses due to technical difficulties on your end.
Intellectual Property
Program Materials
All curriculum, videos, worksheets, and coaching materials remain the intellectual property of the original holder. You may not:
Share, distribute, or resell program materials
Record coaching sessions without explicit permission
Use program materials for commercial purposes
Share access credentials with others
Student Work
By submitting videos and participating in the program, you grant Mathews Music Inc. permission to use anonymized student progress examples for educational and marketing purposes, unless you explicitly opt out in writing.
Program Modifications
Mathews Music Inc. reserves the right to:
Modify program curriculum or structure with reasonable notice
Substitute coaches if necessary due to unforeseen circumstances
Adjust scheduling within the 12-month framework
Update these terms and conditions (changes apply to future cohorts)
We will make reasonable efforts to maintain program quality and continuity throughout your 12-month period.
Termination
By Student
You may choose to discontinue the program at any time, but no refund will be provided under any circumstances.
By Mathews Music Inc.
We reserve the right to terminate your participation without refund if you:
Engage in abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behavior toward coaches or staff
Repeatedly fail to attend scheduled sessions without notice
Violate intellectual property terms
Demonstrate patterns of behavior inconsistent with program values
Limitation of Liability
No Guarantees
While we are committed to providing exceptional coaching and curriculum, we make no guarantees regarding:
Specific skill level achievements
Speed of progress
Performance outcomes
Career advancement
Your results depend on your consistent effort, practice quality, and individual circumstances.
Injury and Health
Playing classical guitar involves physical activity. You are responsible for:
Assessing your own physical readiness to participate
Consulting healthcare providers about any concerns
Practicing safely and within your physical limits
Reporting any pain or injury to your coach immediately
Mathews Music Inc. is not liable for any injuries sustained during program participation.
Maximum Liability
In no event shall Mathews Music Inc.’s total liability exceed the amount you paid for the program.
Privacy and Data
We collect and store personal information including:
Contact details and application information
Practice tracking data and progress notes
Video submissions and coaching session recordings (when permitted)
Payment information
This information is used solely for program delivery and improvement. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties except as required by law or for payment processing.
Dispute Resolution
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States.
Resolution Process
Any disputes shall first be addressed through good-faith direct communication with Allen Mathews. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in Wyoming rather than court proceedings.
Miscellaneous
Entire Agreement
These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Mathews Music Inc. regarding The Transformation Year program.
Severability
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
